Dear Jusuf,

after a very beautiful week in your resort in Bunaken and some more days in
Siladen we are back in Austria since yesterday.

Specially Kuskus Resort was a wonderful experience with the beautiful
bungalows in the very beautiful garden, the excellent food and most of all
with the very nice and helpful staff during whole week. We were feeling to
stay in a family. We were very happy to go diving with Son, who is a very
professionell dive-master and a wonderful person and friend.

Hi All team in Kuskus,

Thank you very much for the tasty food, the local cheft Ms. Engge with her food, this is our 4th year in Bunaken Kuskus, every year the improvement could seen and feel. It is great to have this kind of Experience in Bunaken Kuskus, the garden is still maintained well, the bed is Perfect, very nice bed that you have now. Big improvement for the mattres!!!

Diving… wow unbelievable for the diving with Son, every year we find the new creatures, wow… it is wonderful and great diving this year. Next year will be staying for at least a month to explore more. Bangka we missed this year due to the weather, but we find our there is little Lembeh near by Bunaken, amazing… Thank you all for for Kuskus team, you make us to come again every year. Will see you again August 2012.

We would like to welcome you for the 2011 season, please booked now, we only have 6 bungalow and we maintained our quality rather then quantity, still keep simple and in small group with great hospitality. It is a quiet place with good local meal and very kind people at the eastern side of the island. Sunrise is the great day to start for all activities for the day, diving to the walls, snorkling from the beatiful beach of Bunaken and Dolphine tour, etc. The bungalows are established very beautifully (traditional Minahasa wooden construction), located in a clean tropical garden. Every cottage has a unique design of bathroom with western style shower room and a small garden inside.

If you are looking for accommodation with primarily a clean beach, delicious food, a friendly staff and a beautiful house reef for snorkelling and diving, please come to Bunaken Pangalisang Beach, in Bunaken Kuskus Resort.

Bunaken Year End 2010

Times flying… but diving is always amazing. November coming without rain… is this unusual? Yes, i think so. This year in Bunaken can categorized got impact from Climate Change…. Many guest now that should be low season for Bunaken. Positive things happened in this unusual weather…. Is the travellers also change their schedule? Great weather now in Bunaken National Park, the beach is wonderful, as well the heaven of underwater shows many creatures. Who would like to come to Bunaken next year, please booked now. Bunaken diving always unexplore… still many things that people did not see. Diving, Snorkling and Sightseeing sorround the island is still the top activity here. I wonder next year the villagers could prepare traditional dance for the tourist who would like to enjoy the culture aside of the traditional music in Bunaken of course. The end of 2010, you are welcome to come to Bunaken. We are waiting you with smile, feel the service in the island and experienced the exotic underwater in Bunaken.

The peak season in Bunaken National Park is coming. The beginning of this month shows not big different but could see the increasing of tourist coming to Bunaken Island has just starting. Resorts in Bunaken Pangalisang beach in eastern part of the island where Kuskus Resort located have increase in occupancy. 14 resort and homestay in this area has almost in average 60% occupancy in the first week of June. Some divers diving from Manado city, North Sulawesi where the 3-5 star of hotel located. For you to experienced living in island, eco resort, Minahasan traditional house, and traditional bungalow with wood and bamboo material please come to Bunaken Island, Bunaken beach and the warmth of islanders. This month you can ask the resort staff to have Dolphin Tour, you will be amazed in the middle of hundreds or even thousands of dolphin surround your boat. Come and visit North Sulawesi, Manado City and explore Bunaken National Park.

The Diving in Bunaken is fantastic everybody agree when they have experienced diving in Bunaken, be more special in Bunaken Kuskus Resort that the Dive Masters and dive guides born, grow up in Bunaken and ready to serve you in Bunaken underwater paradise. We make you feel different with islanders touch. The safety of the diving is the most important for us when you diving in Bunaken. Safety is out priority. Preparation for high season 2010

All over the resort in Bunaken island now is preparing for the mid year peak season. Most of the resort in Bunaken National Park maintained and get ready for the guest to come. As well as in the island, in the underwater also has done some cleaning from the rubbish, corals plantation and beach cleaning. Bunaken Community tourism board also is active to train some young local people to be trained in service and diving. Helping Hands, the local non government organisation has just starting to work in the islands arround Bunaken National Part. This local NGO will focus on the building capacity of the islanders for tourism. This all the updates on April 2010.

Dear Jusuf,
We really enjoyed our time on Bunaken at Kuskus, all your staff were very
helpful and friendly. We were very happy with the quality of the food and
the lovely gardens you have. The snorkelling was amazing and it was so
nice to swim with a guide and have the boat following us, especially for me
as I’m quite a nervous swimmer. If we are back in Indonesia I would really enjoy a return visit and we would have no problem recommending Kuskus.

Bunaken Marine National Park

Bunaken Marine National Park was established as a marine park in 1991. It has 89,065 ha and consists of two separate parts.

Bunaken island have two populer beach names. One of them is Liang Beach and another is Pangalisang Beach. The location of Bunaken Kuskus Resort is at Pangalisang beach.

The Northern section of National Park is composed of (Bunaken, Manado Tua, Siladen, Nain and Mantehage)

The Southern mainland section constitutes the Arakan wawontulap coast, which was set aside to protect its old growth Mangrove forests and dugong and turtle populations.

The Bunaken Marine National Park is known worldwide for it’s fantastic reefs and mangroves. And it is situated in the very epicenter of global marine biodiversity.

Within the Marine Park both the shallow reef flats and the coral and sponge-encrusted steep walls are inhabited by a very rich variety of underwater marine life. More than 2000 species of fishes, 58 genera and sub-genera of hard corals and 30 species of mangrove have been identified in the park.

In addition, a variety of unusual fishes such as ghost pipefishes, froghfish and pygmy seahorses. The park is home to a number of endangered species such as coelacanths, dugongs, orcas and sperm whales.

Diving

We accepts any kind of diving activities. For every working day we can do a maximum of 3 – 4 dives per day. All the dive sites on Bunaken island are close each other and only 15 to 30 minutes away from our resort. You are able to snorkel just on the shore on front of our resort. Approximately around 50 meters you can see drop off choral reef with different kind of fishes. If you are lucky you can see Dugong or Sea Cow when high tide mostly almost sunset.
